Established in the St. Catherine district since 1949, the Rugbyman awakens your taste buds with its superb choice of seafood: from the tiniest of shellfish to the grandest of fish.

The positioning of this temple of lovely sea-smelling products is self-evident! Indeed, the docks of the first inner-city port of Brussels were located in the district before they were backfilled. It was therefore logical for the Rugbyman to be established on the bricked-up quay.

Third generation

Today, this typically Brussels restaurant is being run by the third generation. In a totally reworked setting following a fire, Ann Dereck achieves veritable culinary wonders! These wonders are enhanced by the freshness of the products with which she works. The lobsters, for example, are imported from Canada and are delivered on a daily basis. You can spoil yourselves on seafood platters, lobster or carpaccio, with no less than nine different preparations of lobster. You will be allowed the time to study the menu in the greatest detail! Rest assured, the less partial or the more sceptical will always be able to order a piece of meat.

A warm welcome

While the geniality of rugby men is an established fact, the warm welcome of Rugbyman1 is also worth the detour. Aficionados include show-biz stars, well-known sportsmen and women and personalities from the world of politics. In good weather, there is a terrace is at your disposal.
