Kif Kif Café
The Kif Kif Café, a restaurant that’s just a stone’s throw from the recently restored Place Flagey, and hard by the ponds of Ixelles, is surprising in many ways. Mediterranean cuisine with a touch of the East about it, a warm and friendly welcome and atmosphere, an opening on to the big wide world and its diversities, an unusual decor, and so on and do forth.
The Kif Kif Café receives you within a former service station of the Sixties – no less. A true decorative challenge masterfully accepted by Eric Weiss and François Vandenbergh. The mood takes you off on an imaginary trip of a Moroccan cook who wanted to be an astronaut. A promise of escapism delivered by some warm colours, some shining candles, and some surprising decor accessories (like a portrait in rhinestones on transparent Perspex). The whole, accentuated by a gleaming kitchen, which, by being discernable behind a large dormer window, promises good things to come. The Culinary Voyage
Aboard the gastronomic vessel of Yael Trivus and Abdel Hassani, you’ll not be disappointed by the voyage. Although the cooking wants to be simple, it is nevertheless refined and of good taste. On planet of Eastern salads, you will discover mezzés of matboukha (tomato sauce/sweet pepper), houmous, Lebanese tehina, falafel… In another universe, there are mixed grill platters, couscous and tajines that await you.To wash it all down, don’t hesitate to try the S de Sirouah, a Moroccan wine, or the Gamla, a delicious mouthful of Israeli sun. And for dessert, let yourself be tempted by the invigorating flavours of a mint tea accompanied by a couple of pastries coming directly from La Bague de Kenza in Paris.
An inspiring meal in a superb ambience - who could ask for anything more? The Kif Kif Café will quickly become one of your favourite restaurants.
